This play tells the extraordinary story of Sarah Rector, who at the age of 11, became the richest black girl in America, after the miraculous discovery of oil on her land. It details the legal battles, exploitation attempts and harsh realities of racial discrimination in the early 20th century America. Through it all, Sarah story became a beacon of resilience, courage, and faith. This play was inspired by the book ‘Searching for Sarah Rector’ by Tonya Bolden.
