Moody Radio Alert

We are scheduling our next Moody Radio Alert system test for 10:00 a.m. CDT on Thursday, August 1, 2024. This will include our e-mail, web and text messaging. (We discontinued the use of the Moody Radio Alert Relay #6 on the XDS-PROQ receivers some years ago and instead rely primarily on use of emails, this website and Text Alerts. As part of the test, we will send a brief text message to those subscribers and an e-mail version of "Moody Radio Alert: Only a Test.” We will also post the test acknowledgement to this Moody Radio Alert web site at: https://www.moodyradio.org/stations/affiliate/alerts/.

The purpose of the Moody Radio Alert system is to provide an efficient means of communicating satellite or FTP program distribution issues or short-notice changes in the Moody-1 program schedule.

If you have subscribed to the Moody Radio Alert distribution email/text message list but do not see a message Aug. 1 on your device, please email us at affiliates@moody.edu. Please provide us with your full name, radio station call sign/name, mobile phone and or email address you’d wish for these alerts to be sent. Thank you for helping us keep our Moody Radio Alert system up to date with your contact information. Please see above for the current Moody Radio network alert status.

Moody Radio Alert Services

Moody Radio Alert: If an important change is made to the MB1 schedule with less than 36 hours to inform stations, we will activate Relay 6 on the XDS-PROQ satellite receiver. We ask you to set up a light, bell or paging system that will get your attention when this relay is fired. In the event of an actual emergency, we will send an e-mail version of the "Moody Radio Alert" and post the latest programming information on this site (www.moodyradio.org/affiliates/alerts).

Text/E-mail Alerts: The Moody Radio Text Alert messaging service is a powerful resource designed to give your team more reaction time in the event of a Network irregularity or short-notice (less than 36 hours) programming change. The Moody Radio Text Alert message can be sent to both cellular phones and e-mail addresses.
