A New Song
Begun in the 1970s and produced for about 10 years, A New Song brings together some of the finest musical talent of the day: Burt Kettinger, John Innes, and Bill Fasig. Burt’s warm, mellow bass/baritone voice made him a much sought-after singer, and he was the featured soloist on Moody Presents for many years. John Innes’ and Bill Fasig’s musical brilliance on the organ and piano earned them both prominent places with Moody Bible Institute and the Billy Graham Evangelist Association. With the amazing talents of these three men together, A New Song features both classic and classical selections for beautiful listening, 15 minutes at a time.

Adventures from the Bookshelf
The Sugar Creek Gang
For Bill Collins, Dragonfly, Poetry, Little Jim, and all the boys in the Sugar Creek Gang, life is one surprising adventure after another. Bank robbers or bears. Bullies or buried treasure. Who knows what challenges the boys will face? In each exciting 15-minute segment, the gang stumbles into mysteries, encounters new people and places, and learns the value of good friends and faith in God. These 15-minute dramatizations were aired daily during Moody Radio’s Adventures in Radio feature. Young listeners (and older ones, too!) loved tuning in to hear the continuing adventures of characters from much-loved book series like Prairie Princess, Little Pilgrim’s Progress, All Things…Even Frisky, and Parsonage Hill. Fables of Faith
In each 15-minute episode of this beloved show, children in the Fables of Faith studio drop in on the animal characters of the Unity Club. Club members Bruce the Goose, Philip Fox, Beauregard Bear and others tackle real problems and feelings that kids often face such as jealousy, fear, and prejudice. After each Unity Club story, you’ll join Uncle Vann and the kids back in the studio as they talk about what they learned and about what feelings and reactions they share with their Unity Club friends. Lessons from the Bible help the Fables of Faith kids make choices that show others the wisdom, love, and kindness of God.

Sailor Sam
When Sam Stone and his friends set sail on their schooner The Porpoise, you’ll feel like you’re right there on the quarter deck with the rest of the crew! Introduced on Moody Radio in the 1950s, the Sailor Sam series will take you on high sea adventures that explore the wonders of God’s creation and the gifts of lasting friendships. Each 15-minute episode draws you in to continuing stories that highlight values you believe in: kindness, respect, teamwork, education, prayer, and faith in God. Stories of Great Christians
Heroes. They encourage us to hope, to trust, to believe, and to achieve. For 50 years, Moody Bible Institute’s Stories of Great Christians informed and inspired listeners with biographies of real people…average men and women…who were called and equipped by God to show His love to the world. These dramatized, 15-minute features bring to life 600 years of heroes of the faith. You’ll hear the voices, music, and sound effects of classic radio. Storybook Room
Beginning in the 1960s, Storybook Room had children all over the country leaning in close to their radios each week. No one wanted to miss a minute of Bob Devine’s fun and fascinating interviews with special guests from anywhere and everywhere on Earth. From tiny insects to massive whales to conversations with entire continents, Uncle Bob’s science-based stories are still introducing children to the wonders of creation and to the Creator who designed them. Each 15-minute segment also features dramatized stories that teach young listeners how their loving God and their Christian faith can give them courage and guide them through the challenges of life.

Voices of the Past
Before sound bites, before posts and tweets and likes, there were men and women whose knowledge of the Scripture and whose life experience with God made them extraordinary speakers and teachers. Hosted by Phil Shappard and produced in the 1990s, Voices of the Past features acclaimed Christian leaders and their sermons and messages from the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s. You’ll hear A.W. Tozer, Corrie Ten Boom, Vance Havner, Bruce Dunn, and others. When you set aside 55 minutes for Voices of the Past, you’ll follow along with in-depth teaching from the Bible and full, fascinating stories of the lives and experiences of each noted speaker in their journeys of faith.
