When you join us for the next Treasured Truth, Pastor Ford will continue to share some insight into the power of good communication. He’ll explain that the biggest communication problem is that we do not listen to understand. Instead, we listen to reply. We’re waiting so that we can say, “Oh no, that was not what you said, or that didn’t go down like that.” So, we’re preparing our reply rather than trying to understand what the other person is trying to communicate. Pastor James Ford Jr. has been the senior pastor of Christ Bible Church of Chicago, located on the south side of Chicago, Ill., for over 35 years. He also serves as the president of Impact Ministries, an outreach ministry committed to strengthening families in the South Shore community of Chicago.

Steve Hiller is co-host of Treasured Truth. He is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute and has worked with Moody Radio in various capacities. Steve is also the co-host of Open the Bible with Pastor Colin Smith.
