Alex Nsengimana Grew up in the midst of an unstable Rwandan government. He experienced the travesties of his nation’s genocide first-hand. Fleeing for his life, Alex eventually ended up in an orphanage and received a shoebox from Operation Christmas Child. The shoebox gift sowed seeds of hope and love that he desperately needed. Today, Alex serves with Operation Christmas Child paying forward the hope and love he received through a shoebox gift.
Father Dale Hall has been involved with CHATT Foundation for over 8 years. He began part time as a volunteer and now serves full time as chaplain. You can find Dale starting his day in the morning at the cafeteria, making himself available to those in need of assistance who walk through the doors of the Community Kitchen. Dale points you toward Matthew 25 as a guideline for prayer and action as Jesus identifies with the poor.
For 25 years Al Collins has faithfully served the CHATT Foundation, formerly known as the Chattanooga Community Kitchen. What fuels Al's heart and passion for the hungry and homeless is his own journey. 25 years ago he walked through the doors of the Community Kitchen, hungry and homeless. Many people poured into his life and he is grateful. Al continues paying it forward, pouring into the lives of the men and women who walk through the doors of the CHATT Foundation every day.
Todd Nettleton host of Voice of the Martyrs shares a snippet of Hana's story. She was only 6 years old when her father was sent to prison in Eritrea - twenty years ago. Hana is so faithful; trusting the Lord in spite of all the heartache she and her family have endured. Their story will be highlighted this weekend on Voice of the Martyrs Radio. Todd also gave us updates on what is happening in Libya and in China along with resources available to pray for persecuted Christians around the world all year long.
