The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report that 1 in 6 boys and 1 in 4 girls are sexually assaulted before the age of 18. Every year, nearly 10 million children attend summer camp, where overnight stays and showers can create potentially unsafe environments for children. Dr. Beth Robinson, Professor of Counseling with Colorado Christian University encourages you to use this information to prepare, educate, and communicate with your children regularly to create safeguards for them this summer.
