We are living in a polarizing culture where the conversation is often us vs. them, denominations are splitting, church attendance is declining, and there is no lack of stories of faith being deconstructed. Author Al Erisman says this is nothing new; there are many examples in the Bible of men and women navigating faith in times of adversity and great opposition. Al highlights Daniel, Joseph, and Esther as examples of living out God's purpose with careful responses, humility, and respect. He'll point us to Jesus as the embodiment of the path to follow as salt and light in this fallen world.
