“We Are Really Good at Beating Ourselves Up” – Dan Seaborn
"The Lord will keep in perfect peace the one who steadfastly trusts in him" (Isa. 26:3). Much easier said than done. How do we get there?
Dan Seaborn, the founder of Winning At Home points the way! And this is something Dan has learned and is learning!
The first step to this kind of peace is to quit trying to prove to God that you love him. How do we get there? By encouraging one another like Dan does for Perry!
Then, much of Dan’s anxiety started as a child when he didn’t know what version of his dad would show up. The angry one or the peaceful one.
Next Perry reflects, “Maybe this hardship in my life right now just needs to stay cause it’s rooting out the pride in my heart and it’s taking me to a deeper trust.”
Last, Dan admits, “I get depressed!” And when he does he transfers his trust from himself to God.

Dan Seaborn
Dan Seaborn is the founder of Winning At Home and an engaging and powerful speaker. He has a comfortable and humorous communication style that allows him to connect easily with audiences of all ages. Through energetic and memorable presentations, Dan talks openly about family life—often through revealing his own struggles or failures.
As the featured speaker at various large-scale events all over the country, Dan has earned recognition as an influential and passionate communicator who uses practical illustrations and real-life examples to teach others how to win at home.
In addition to being an international speaker and president of the organization, Dan serves as the leader for the Marriage & Family Division of the American Association of Christian Counselors. He is also the author of 12 books released to date,and has established himself as a media personality on over 350 radio stations across the nation. He and his wife, Jane, have been married for over 30 years, have four adult children and seven grandchildren.

Perry LaHaie
Perry LaHaie's passion is to know Jesus and make Him known. “I’m all in with Jesus but not all put together. I need Jesus right now as much as I did when I first started following Him!” Perry says. In addition to co-hosting Perry and Shawna Mornings, Perry is a singer, songwriter, recording artist, and advocate for those who haven’t yet heard the gospel, especially those in the Muslim world. Born and raised in northern Michigan, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications and a graduate degree in Cross- cultural Communications. Perry also serves with Frontiers, a worldwide ministry to Muslims. Perry and his bride, Teresa, call Holland, Michigan home. They have two adult children, Kali and Taylor, and Taylor’s bride, Bri.
Shawna Beyer
Shawna Beyer has a way of telling stories that create personal connection— to her, to one another, and to God. She has been a homeschool mom, church planter, project lead for a consulting company, and church staff member. Though she’s been involved in ministry with her husband (Dan) in Iowa, Arizona, and now Michigan, she was born and raised in Southern California and as they say, “You can take the girl out of California . . .” She is mom to four grown kids (Bryn, Drayson, Eden, and Haven) who no longer need her but humor her anyway. Shawna is passionate about the rhythms we weave into the fabric of our lives to fall more in love with God each day. Healthy foods are her go-to, but she will abandon that whole track in a heartbeat for a homemade cinnamon roll like Grandma used to make.
