He was impacted by Bonhoeffer’s inspirational faith and the challenges of making a movie that features such complex subject matter, the importance of historical accuracy and authenticity, and how he hopes the film will resonate with audiences today. John Scanlon has made two other films: Clemente (2024) and Honor Flight (2012).
