Firefighters remember their initial training—how in every class or drill the instructors emphasized the dangers. Somehow, the risks seemed worth it then. Monday on Mornings with Eric and Brigitte former New York firefighter, Jeff Keene II joins us to share how he heard the warnings and still answered the call, but early in his career he suffered a terrible injury. In When the Other Boot Drops, he gives us an honest account of the emotional and mental trauma that followed, and how his faith in God helped him triumph over the life-changing injury.
Hour 2: Update on Big Children's Foundation - with Joyce Feldman
Big Children’s Foundation exists to improve the quality of life of vulnerable teens by restoring their health, training them to be self-sufficient, and providing the education, skills and professional development they need to succeed. On Monday’s Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, President/CEO of BCF, Joyce Feldman will share ministry updates and stories, as well as updates on the Education Center they are in the process of building.

Telling tales has always been a gift of mine. That's one reason I became a public school teacher. But creating a book that has the core of its plot wrapped around a story in the Bible is a challenge I could have been successful with only by divine guidance. I've been a firefighter in New York, a teacher in Florida, and have even served on a NOAA research vessel. But none of those have been as rewarding as writing. With the support of my wife and two children, I've been able to balance full-time teaching with the creation of accurate First Century historical fiction.

Joyce Feldman is the President and CEO of Big Children's Foundation and Big Cardio Executive Producer. Event proceeds benefit foster teens and at-risk youth in South Florida through BiG Children's Foundation. BiG Children’s Foundation, Inc., is a Florida registered 501 (c) 3 non-profitorganization committed to providing programs and services to at-risk youth ages 13+ including foster teens, those aging out, victims of abuse, and victims of human trafficking.
