Chris Fabry LiveWednesday on Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Director of Correctional Programming in Florida, Lazaro Lopez joins us to share his testimony and tell about how Prison Fellowship's programs served him while he was incarcerated and how he now serves others who are incarcerated. Because of programs like Angel Tree, Lazaro not only experienced miraculous change in his own life, but restored and maintained his relationship with his daughter, who still has a strong faith in God today.
We are living in a time of greater isolation, disunity, and loneliness. But thankfully we are caught in a love story. The Bible describes our relationship with God as a marriage, but what exactly does that mean? As we learn what it means to be Dearly Beloved, that all changes. Wednesday on Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, author and pastor, Vermon Pierre shows us that through the metaphor of marriage, we learn how we are loved, how to love God, and how to love one another.
Lazaro Lopez is the Director of Correctional Programming for Prison Fellowship in Florida. He has witnessed time and time again the power of restoration through the quality programming Prison Fellowship offers. Besides having a degree in Theology and serving alongside with Reentry Transitional Programs for many years, he has been blessed with many other successes in life, but the one he is most proud of is being married to Elsy for the last 30 years. Together they have gone through the valley and the top of the mountain. They have raised 4 amazing kids and now enjoy their grandchildren.
Vermon Pierre (BA, Princeton University; MDiv, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School) is the lead pastor at Roosevelt Community Church, a diverse multiethnic congregation in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. He is the author of Gospel Shaped Living and a contributor to The New City Catechism Devotional, 15 Things Seminary Couldn't Teach Me, and Revisiting 'Faithful Presence': To Change the World Five Years Later. He and his wife, Dennae, live in downtown Phoenix and have five children.
