Chris Fabry LiveLet's face it: the world gets a hold of our hearts and causes major damage, whether related to overcoming trauma, feelings of emptiness, upbringing, or resentment. If we don't seek healing, we inherit a dark entity consumed by baggage we were never meant to carry. Wednesday on Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, author Nayza Martinez tells us that this story will offer inner peace and hope to those who have been through hardships, while allowing readers to tenderize their hearts and comprehend the true nature of a loving God, regardless of the trials we face.
Walking through death with a loved one can be incredibly isolating and unsettling. When Whitney K. Pipkin’s mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer, she wasn’t ready. How could she be? She searched for resources that could help her walk through this heavy yet sacred time in her life. But she struggled to find the guidance she longed for in a season of grief. In this new book, We Shall All Be Changed, Whitney draws from her own experience, sheds light and hope and shows us that we are not alone. And she reveals the mysterious way that God ministers to and transforms us through death and suffering.
Nayza Martinez shares her story of being setback to being set free. Her story reflects a life darkened and ransomed by the world. Her light was ignited when she surrendered to God by initiating intimacy with Jesus. Her hope is that those who read her story will be able to see God weaving Himself into a broken story displaying what He can do with a willing heart.
Whitney K. Pipkin lives with her husband, three children, and a dog named Honeybun in Northern Virginia, where where she works as a journalist. She has worked as a journalist for over 13 years, with articles appearing in The Washington Post, National Geographic and NPR alongside her regular work at the Chesapeake Bay Journal. She also has written for Christian publications such as The Gospel Coalition, The ERLC and Gospel-Centered Discipleship and serves as the Written Content Coordinator for the ministry Women & Work. She loves studying the Bible with her local church and reading on Sunday afternoons while her kids play (quietly?) nearby.
