Hour 1: 9 Different Worldviews

Dawn and Steve have a sobering yet important conversation with Dr. George Barna about nine worldviews based on the American Worldview Inventory 2024. 

George Barna is the Director of Research and co-founder of the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University. He is also an ACU professor, focusing on worldview assessment and development, and cultural transformation. He was the founder and leader of the Barna Group, a research company that has set the standard for understanding trends in American culture. In addition, Barna serves as Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Biblical Worldview at the Family Research Council. He has taught at the undergraduate and graduate level and has pastored two churches. Barna has written more than 50 books, including numerous award-winners and New York Times bestsellers.

Hour 2: On Spiritual Warfare

Dawn and Steve welcome Lt. Col. Dave Grossman, co-author of On Spiritual Warfare, to help us prepare for the spiritual battle ahead of us. 

Lt. Col. Dave Grossman is an internationally recognized scholar, author, soldier, and speaker who is one of the world’s foremost experts in the field of human aggression and the roots of violence and violent crime. Col. Grossman is a former West Point psychology professor, Professor of Military Science, and an Army Ranger. Lt. Col. David Grossman is the author or co-author of five non-fiction and four fiction books. He has presented papers before the national conventions of the American Medical Association, the American Psychiatric Association, the American Psychological Association, and the American Academy of Pediatrics.  

He helped train mental health professionals after the Jonesboro school massacre, and he was also involved in counseling or court cases in the aftermath of the Paducah, Springfield, Littleton, Virginia Tech, and Nickel Mines, PA Amish school massacres.  In February 2018, after the Parkland, FL school massacre, Col. Grossman was called to the White House to serve on President Trump’s Round Table on Violent Video Games. He has testified before U.S. Senate and Congressional committees on three different occasions, he has testified before numerous state legislatures, and he and his research have been cited in a national address by the President of the United States.  

Today Col. Grossman is the director of Grossman On Truth, LLC (www.GrossmanOnTruth.com).  In the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, he has written and spoken extensively on the terrorist threat, with articles published in the Harvard Journal of Law and Civil Policy and many leading law enforcement journals, and he has been inducted as a “Life Diplomate” by the American Board for Certification in Homeland Security, and a “Life Member” of the American College of Forensic Examiners Institute.

Hour 3: Compassion International

Moody author, Matt Bronleewe will help us learn more about Compassion International, a Christian charity dedicated to releasing children from poverty in Jesus' name. Matt has coauthored a book with Rick Wilson titled What Are You Going to Do?: How One Simple Question Transformed Lives Around the World: The Inspiring Story of Everett Swanson and the Founding of Compassion International. 

Matt is a Grammy-nominated, award-winning producer and songwriter. He is the author of the August Adams thrillers, and is currently producing his first feature film. Born in Dallas, TX, Bronleewe was raised on the family farm in Kansas. He attended Greenville University, where he helped form the band Jars of Clay. After leaving the band, he began producing and songwriting full-time. Bronleewe currently resides in Nashville, TN, with his wife and three children.
