Christian Missions for Ukraine and Beyond
As the war in Ukraine marks 2-and-a-half years, many Christian ministries and churches have been offering aid to Ukrainians to bring relief and the hope of Jesus. Trillia Newbell talks with Don Parsons, Director of the Unreached People Group Initiative and Esther Parsons about the camps that they've led for Ukrainian refugee children and the opportunities we all can have in sharing the love of Jesus with a broken world.

Don and Esther Parsons
Don Parsons serves as director for Mission Eurasia’s Unreached People Groups Initiative. But since the war began in Ukraine, he and his wife Esther have been leading Mission Eurasia’s refugee response and church development work in Poland. Don and Esther have served in cross-cultural ministry for over 28 years, having worked with SEND International as missionary church planters in Ukraine, Central Asia, and Detroit and also as part of a global mission mobilization team. Sensing the call to return to the Slavic world, Don joined the staff of Mission Eurasia in 2020 working as the only western member of their Field Ministries Team. Now in Poland, Don is not only serving Ukrainians in need, but he is helping equip the scattered church to reach the unreached of Europe. Esther recently wrote a Bible curriculum for children who have suffered in war.

Trillia Newbell is the author of several books including, A Great Cloud of Witnesses, Sacred Endurance, If God is For Us, Fear and Faith, and the children's books, Creative God, Colorful Us and God's Very Good Idea. She is the host of the podcast 52 Weeks in the Word and hosts the weekly radio program Living by Faith from Moody Radio.
When she isn’t writing, she’s encouraging and supporting other writers as the Acquisitions Director at Moody Publishers. Trillia is married to her best friend, Thern, they reside with their two children near Nashville, TN where they enjoy hiking and eating lots of bbq.
