- Luke 2 / When Jesus was on earth, he didn’t hang out with royalty. He hung out with society’s outcasts. Those who were despised and ignored. Why? Because as Jesus said, he came to seek and to save those who were lost, those who needed him most. In the Christmas story, perhaps that’s why the angel appeared before shepherds and not Kings. And what those shepherds experienced was astounding.
