When Darwin published "On the Origin of Species" in 1859, he provoked a scientific revolution. After Darwin died, three scientific developments quietly rewrote his conclusions. Today, Dr. Nathaniel Jeanson will help us gain an appreciation for the nature of the science, the thrill of discovery, and the current explanation of the origin of species. He will also explain why Darwin’s conclusions are not the final word on the origin of species.

Dr. Nathaniel Jeanson holds a PhD in cell and developmental biology from Harvard University. He serves as a research biologist, author, and speaker with Answers in Genesis and formerly conducted research with the Institute for Creation Research. While at Harvard, Dr. Jeanson was actively involved in adult stem cell research and published several peer-reviewed papers in secular journals in his field. His current research involves using DNA comparisons to understand the true origin of species, and he has published groundbreaking results on this question. In addition, he has contributed to several books, including The Design and Complexity of the Cell and In-Depth Creation Basics and Beyond, and he authored The Lost Treasures of Genesis. Dr Jeanson recently published Traced: Human DNA’s Big Surprise, an examination of the genetic history of humanity that makes testable predictions from the creationist worldview.
David McCasland is a writer and educator whose books include Blind Courage, co-authored with Bill Irwin, the first blind person to thru-hike the 2,162 mile Appalachian Trail; Oswald Chambers: Abandoned to God; and Eric Liddell: Pure Gold. David writes for Our Daily Bread and also develops biographical television documentaries as a writer and co-producer for Day of Discovery. He grew up in Oklahoma City, graduated from Oklahoma State University and earned his Master's degree in communications from Wheaton College. At Multnomah Bible College, he completed a one year graduate course in biblical studies. He served in the US Army and is a Vietnam veteran.
