On In The Market with Janet Parshall we kicked off the week of conversations with another enlightening conversation between Janet and her daughter Sarah as they discussed important issues regarding parents rights and changes in the U.S. government stance on gender ideology. Our guest encouraged us to find the key to good relationships by following the pattern of the 5 relationship types that Jesus created in His life. We spoke to a front line fighter in the right to save the lives of the preborn who used medical facts to dispel some of the common myths and lies often used by those who support abortion including that abortion is safer than childbirth and since the end of Roe pregnant women can’t the get medical care they need. Then we turned our attention to the expected faith trends as we head into the new year with startling evidence based results demonstrating that we will continue to see an effort by some to reshape the eternal God into one who ‘better suits” our own human wants and needs, mainly a god in our own image and the twin concerns of declining church numbers and lack of personal discipleship among others. We shared the personal story and insights of a woman who has come to understand the important of getting rid of the myths surrounding the idea that Christianity and proper mental health care are mutually exclusive. She emphasized the importance of changing the narrative and how a combination of good therapy along with the guidance of God’s word can create real, lasting healing from trauma. We are winding down another week with another thoughtful examination of the biggest news of the week.
How well do we really know what it means to listen and follow the voice of the Lord unconditionally? On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we heard from a woman who from her earliest years dedicated her heart to following God’s leading in her life. She shared how her parents help her learn true dependance on His guidance and about the amazing ways that God has demonstrated His unfailing faithfulness in some of the most challenging and seemingly uncertain times of her life. The current situation in Israel & the Middle East is complicated to say the least but it is a history rooted in the events of Scripture and to understand the importance of what is going on today we shared the insights of a respected expert on the Holy Land who helped us understand the President’s executive orders that will impact the Israel/ Iran situation, what will happen in Gaza and whether or not there will be a 2 state solution. We shared the wisdom and insights of a licensed psychologist who used his professional knowledge to us understand what the Bible says about our emotions and why we are called to master them. He explained why God gave humanity emotions, how they were corrupted along with everything else at the fall in the Garden, how our thoughts, feelings and actions are tied to one another and how to renew our minds. What is the truth about where American taxpayers stand on the issues of taxpayer funded abortions? We cleared up the confusion as our guest brought the facts to bear on the common stories we hear in the news. And speaking of news, we had an enlightening conversation with one of our favorite experts on the Holy Land who addressed the news unveiled earlier this week that the United States wants to take over the ruins of Gaza, move the residents to other locations for their safety and well being and take charge of the rebuilding efforts. He offered his insights on what these proposals could mean for the Middle East going forward. Join us for another clarifying conversation with our favorite husband and wife team as they dissect the news of the week using the microscope of God’s word.
