Hour 1: Military Wokeness and Technology Challenges
After looking at some of the stories making headlines, we will talk with Elaine Donnelly about some new policies being put in place that will end wokeness in the military. We then take up the issue of AI technology and how the Church must be prepared for both new opportunities and some new challenges.
Hour 2: Revising the Scriptures
Is it a good idea to use language like “gay Christians,” “sexual minorities,” and “LGBT+ Christians” or does it confuse the issue of biblical sexuality with identity? Does it intimate tacit approval or does it benefit the person who struggles with same-sex attraction? Join us as think through these ideas both biblically and critically.

Elaine Donnelly
Elaine Donnelly is founder and president of the Center for Military Readiness, an independent, nonpartisan public policy organization that reports on and analyzes military/social issues. Since its founding in 1993, CMR has advocated for high, uncompromised standards in all forms of military training and sound priorities in the making of military/social policies. Defense Secretary Caspar Weinberger appointed Mrs. Donnelly to the Defense Advisory Committee on Women in the Services (DACOWITS) for a three-year term. (1984–1986). In 1992, President George H. W. Bush appointed her to the Presidential Commission on the Assignment of Women in the Armed Forces. For a full year, the commission studied all aspects of issues surrounding women in combat in all branches of the service. Mrs. Donnelly is the author of a chapter titled “Defending the Culture of the Military,” which was published by the Air Force University Press in the book Attitudes Are Not Free – Thinking Deeply About Diversity in the U.S. Armed Forces, released in May 2010. She also wrote a comprehensive, peer-reviewed article titled “Constructing the Co-Ed Military” for the May 2007 edition of the Duke University Journal of Gender Law & Policy.
Andrew McDiarmid
Andrew McDiarmid is Director of Podcasting and a Senior Fellow at the Discovery Institute. He is also a contributing writer to MindMatters.ai. In addition to his roles at the Discovery Institute, he promotes his homeland as host of the Scottish culture and music podcast Simply Scottish (Apple, Spotify, Google). Andrew holds an MA in Teaching from Seattle Pacific University and a BA in English/Creative Writing from the University of Washington.
Joe Dallas
Joe Dallas is an author, conference speaker, and ordained pastoral counselor. He directs a Biblical counseling ministry for those dealing with sexual and relational problems, and with their families as well. He received his Master’s Degree in Christian Counseling from Vision University, San Diego, CA and is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. He is also the author of the daily blog Joe Dallas Online.Joe has authored six books on human sexuality from the Christian perspective, including Desires in Conflict (Harvest House 1991)The Game Plan (Thomas Nelson Publishing 2005) When Homosexuality Hits Home (Harvest House 2004) Five Steps to Breaking Free from Porn (Harvest House 2013) and his latest, Speaking of Homosexuality (Baker 2016).He is a contributing writer for The Christian Research Journal, and his articles have appeared in Christianity Today,(cover story June 1993) The Journal of Christian Healing and The Southern California Christian Times. His work has also been featured in The Los Angeles Times, Moody Monthly, New Man Magazine and The Boston Globe. For over three years Joe taught and conducted the nationally recognized Every Man’s Battle 5-Day conference as the originating Program Director, and from 1991 to 1993, he served as the President of Exodus International. He was a regularly featured speaker with the Focus on the Family Love Won Out conference.
