Hour 1: Holding On To Truth

How often in the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season do we think about using everybody’s favorite Christmas hymns as opportunities to share the good news of the gospel? On In The Market with Janet Parshall week we spoke to an award winning gospel singer who shared her journey through 40 years of ministry and how she learned the importance of taking advantage of daily moments to reach into the lives of others with the good news of Christ. With a new president and administration taking the lead of our nation we spoke to a staunch advocate for the pre-born about the potential for a plan to defunding the largest abortion provider in the country and this year’s edition of an important watchlist that reveals which charities are not protective of the unborn. Then we helped you extend your prayer lists as we took you behind the headlines as our guest explained how thousands of Christians have become displaced from their homes as a result of the fighting in Syria and we shared 10 great strategic ways to pray for the people of that nation at this very consequential time. Are government institutions and mandates the best way to bring out real change in underserved communities or is there another way? Our guest, who has been on the front lines of civil rights for decades, addressed the power of the local church and community groups to bring about substantial change. The we heard a boots on the ground account of how believers are continuing to persevere in their faith under the Communist oppression in China. Our favorite missionary to the entertainment industry joined us once again to share more stories of God at work in the lives of the most influential group in all of our lives. We then turned our attention to the destructive influx of fentanyl in the country, how it is getting here, the damage it is doing and what can be done, if anything to turn this deadly epidemic around. Even as we draw closer to the holiday season the unrest around our nation and the world does not stop and our need to have a clear understanding of what is and is not going on doesn’t stop either. So we invite you to attend another radio classroom event with Janet and Craig as they continue to teach us how to use God’s word as the plumbline of truth as we examine the goods on sale in the marketplace of ideas.

Hour 2: Standing Up For Righteousness

God never wastes anything, even our times of sorrow and grief. But how often do we truly lean on Him at those times? On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we heard from a woman who shared her own struggles with a special needs child and the prolonged illness and passing of her first husband and how her journey as a caregiver became the fertile ground for a deeper dependance on God and the way that He demonstrated His ongoing faithfulness in even the darkest and most challenging of times in our lives. A respected pastor and teacher called us to step aside from the holiday bustle to focus on the coming of Jesus as the infant in the manger who would one day become the satisfaction for all of humanity’s sin debt. He talked about why it is humanly impossible to fully comprehend the magnificence of what the eternal God did for us, what it was like for Mary to experience the joy of being chosen to be the human mother of the Savior and other ways that we can find God’s joy at this very important time of the year. What if you could step back in time to see the full panorama of the life of Jesus? Our guest pulled together all the events of the 4 gospels to share the full and history changing life of Jesus Christ, the Anointed One of God. Once again we gave you the opportunity to get biblically sound answers to the spiritual warfare questions that you always wanted answers to. Like never before believers need to be fully engaged with God’s word as their guide for discerning truth from confusion as we encounter the daily challenges presented by the news that continually fills our newspapers, television and social media. That’s why our favorite husband and wife team invite you to come alongside as they teach us how to measure the headlines of the week against God’s straight stick of truth.
