In the center of all the turmoil in Iran today, God’s invisible hand is at work. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we had another timely conversation with a man whom God has called to minister His eternal message of hope his native Iranians. He explained the new proposal from Iran’s president to Israel and why NOW is the time that Iranian hearts are open to hear the Gospel. You kept our phones busy with another faith building yet challenging conversation about the invisible war taking place all around us. Our expert on spiritual warfare continued to provide solid, biblically grounded answers to the questions that continue to intrigue us all. Speaking of the invisible world, we spoke to a beloved apologist who addressed the world after death. He took us to God’s word to help us understand what the Bible says about the afterlife and what awaits believers beyond this veil of tears. A new movie captures the story of a high school football coach who gained national attention for refusing to compromise his faith and commitment to God. We gave you the opportunity to hear directly from this man whose stance took him all the way to the highest court in the land. Then we dug deeper into why today’s young people are abandoning the church, why this is so serious and what can be done to turn the tide. We’ve come to the end of the week and it is time to sharpen our skills as we enter once again into the radio classroom and our favorite husband and wife team comminute teaching us how to apply God’s word correctly to the ongoing challenges presented in the news of the week.
The political climate is fraught with tension today and that has led some believers to decide against voting at all in the upcoming election. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we spoke with an expert who helped us understand why Christians need to vote and introduced us to an important voting tool. Then we heard from a nationally recognized film and television producer in both the Christian and secular arenas who told about his new film on the life of 20th Century Christian martyr Dietrich Bonhoeffer who was more than just a pastor but was also a spy attempting to bring down the Nazi regime. What does physical imprisonment have to do with spiritual imprisonment? We heard from a man who shared the lessons he learned in a prison cell and how they apply to the imprisoned hearts and lives many people struggle with. He explained what led his life down that path and the powerful life transforming truths that God is using through him to bring healing and restoration to others. One of God’s faithful ministers to the Islamic world joined us for a report from the front lines of the conflict in the Middle East. He addressed the failure of the U.N. to fully implement an important resolution, some surprising reports of the people of Lebanon growing frustration with heavy hand of Hezbollah and more stories of God at work in that part of the world. Then we turned our attention to the ongoing efforts of the World Health Organization to take away our national sovereignty by force, the extreme danger is they succeed and what we can do to stand against it. When the times get really dark in our lives and you face a deep valley of uncertainty how to find true strength and peace to walk through that valley? Our guest faced a life and death crisis and in that experience he learned what it really means to lean hard of God and discover His deep and abiding peace and strength to carry you through. He shared his transforming experiences and insights with us. Our need to be discerning with the news we here daily never stops so join us for another master class in applying God’s immutable truth to the headlines of the week.
