Hour 1: Football and Faith

We start this hour talking with a former High School football coach who not only made national news for his commitment to Christ but made legal history at the highest court in the land. Then, "Young people are leaving the church." As adult believers, we hear these words with dismay. More than anything, we want our children to follow Jesus with conviction and compassion---but what can we be doing at church and home to promote a resilient faith they'll carry into adulthood? We will help provide the answer to these questions.

Hour 2: The Indispensable Electoral College

Twice in as many decades, a president won the office without the popular vote. Both times, people cried foul on the Electoral College. Detractors claim the institution is antiquated and impedes democracy, but our guest, a lawyer and constitutional scholar, argues that the Electoral College is the best defense of America's constitutional republic. Join us to hear a winning argument for a necessary protection against "rigged" party elections, coastal elites, and DC insiders who wish to make a career of unchecked ambition.

IN THIS EPISODE

Coach Joe Kennedy, an eighteen-year Marine veteran, was an assistant coach for the Bremerton High School (BHS) varsity football team. Before he even coached his first game, the Marine-turned-football coach made a commitment to God that he would give thanks at the conclusion of each game for what the players had accomplished and for the opportunity to be part of their lives through football. This was met with disapproval from his school district and turned into a lengthy court battle. On June 27, 2022, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Coach Kennedy and his First Amendment right. He looks forward to being reinstated and returning to the field. He continues to speak across the country promoting freedom of speech.
