Hormoz Shariat was born into a Muslim family in Iran and came to the United States after the Islamic Revolution of 1979, where he came to Christ while earning my Ph.D. in Computer Engineering as a graduate student at USC in 1980. In 1987, Hormoz planted a church in San Jose, California. With hundreds of Muslim converts, which remains one of the largest churches of its kind in the United States. In 2001 he followed the Lord’s leading and founded Iran Alive Ministries, which utilizes Satellite TV to reach the millions of lost and broken people of Iran and the rest of the Middle East. Today, the ministry broadcasts the Gospel 24/7 from studios in Dallas to Iran and the Middle East, trusting the Lord to transform a nation, which is responding to the Gospel unlike any other time in history.
Katrina Murphy serves on the board of the Teachers Who Pray organization. She is a visual arts teacher at Christopher Elementary School, which serves a large population of special needs students on the Southwest Side of Chicago. During her 20 years in education, she has taught high school art, served as an admissions counselor and smaller learning communities coordinator, and earned a master’s degree in educational administration. Katrina finds daily joy in teaching her special needs and general education students and collaborating with colleagues in pursuit of her school’s mission to “Reach All, Teach All, and Include All.”
Debbie Wuthnow is President of iVoterGuide and Vice President, AFA Action. She joined iVoterGuide in 2011 and was instrumental in making iVoterGuide the national tool you use today. In 2014 she was named Director of Operations, and by 2016 had become Executive Director. Debbie holds a master’s degree in computer science from Princeton University. She is member of the Board of Directors of American Family Association (AFA) Action.
Todd Komarnicki is a prolific writer and producer of film and television as well as an acclaimed novelist. Komarnicki's screenplays include SULLY, which was directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Tom Hanks. SULLY opened at #1 in the box office and went on to earn over $240 million worldwide. The film received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike and was named a 2016 AFI Top Ten Film. Other titles include THE PROFESSOR AND THE MADMAN starring Mel Gibson and Sean Penn, PERFECT STRANGER starring Bruce Willis and Halle Berry, and BONHOEFFER: PASTOR. SPY. ASSASSIN., the true life story of pastor-turned-spy Dietrich Bonhoeffer. In television, Komarnicki has written pilots for ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, TNT, and Netflix. He most recently just completed the series Earth Abides for MGM+, where he served as Showrunner. Komarnicki is also the president and founder of the production and management company Guy Walks Into A Bar. Komarnicki and Guy Walks partner Jon Berg produced the Christmas blockbuster ELF, starring Will Ferrell and directed by Jon Favreau. The film amassed over $220 million worldwide and has become a perennial favorite every Christmas season.
