As war continues to rage in Ukraine, the Talbot School of Theology - Kyiv extension, is equipping gospel-focused leaders to bring the truth and hope of Christ amidst the current chaos. Ed Stetzer talks with Kyiv Theological Seminary President Ruslan Khmyz and KTS' Eduard Borysov about their mission to equip believers in biblical studies and evangelical theology to make a Kingdom impact in Ukraine and beyond.
Ruslan Khmyz is president of Kyiv Theological Seminary. Ruslan has been ministering in his local church all his years of serving at KTS. He has been a team leader during a mission trip to Russia’s Far East. He's also participated in Youth Ministry in Ukraine and managed Christian camps for kids and youth. He's served as youth pastor at Hope Church in Kyiv, ordained as a deacon. Now he is one of the ministers in Transformation Church in Kyiv.
Eduard Borysov is a professor at Kyiv Theological Seminary, Ukraine. Eduard is a graduate of Kyiv Theological Seminary and got his PhD in New Testament Studies from Aberdeen University. His favorite movie is The Kingdom of Heaven, his first job was helping his dad in construction, and when not engaged in academic rigor he enjoys visiting friends and watching movies.
Ed Stetzer, Ph.D., is Dean of the Talbot School of Theology at Biola University. He has planted, revitalized, and pastored churches; trained pastors and church planters on six continents; earned two master’s degrees and two doctorates; and he has written hundreds of articles and a dozen books. He is Regional Director for Lausanne North America, is the Editor-in-Chief of Outreach Magazine, and regularly writes for news outlets such as USA Today and CNN. He serves at his local church, Mariners Church, as a teaching pastor. Ed and his wife Donna have been married for more than 35 years and are the parents of three daughters.
