Some of Jesus' harshest words were aimed at the Pharisees. These were the puffed up, propped up religious leaders of His day. But would you believe that Pharisees are STILL a problem. The spirit of Phariseeism is alive and well. How can you and I guard against becoming like them? Guest host Jon Gauger and Jon Fugler help us learn how to Silence Your Inner Pharisee on the next Chris Fabry Live.
For more than three decades, Jon Gauger has served with Moody Radio as a writer, producer, and host. He is rarely seen without a camera, shooting photos and video for Moody Radio and others. In addition to The Land and the Book, Jon is heard on Moody Presents, Today in the Word, the Praise and Worship Channel, and Majesty Radio. He has traveled to 38 countries as a journalist, speaker, or trainer. An award-winning narrator, Jon has voiced 75 audiobooks and has written If I Could Do It All Over Again and Kids Say the Wisest Things. Jon is married to Diana, and they have two grown children and six truly extraordinary grandchildren. The Gaugers love reading, camping (trailers, not tents), and great Mexican food.
Jon Fugler has served as the Chief Content Officer with TWR since 2018. He began his career in Christian broadcasting in 1980, as Director of Radio for Campus Crusade for Christ. From 1986-2011, Jon established and managed a number of non-commercial Christian radio stations in California, pioneering contemporary Christian music on the airwaves. God called Jon into media missions to unreached people groups in 2011, serving with HCJB/Reach Beyond for seven years as VP of Advancement. He co-founded the International Day for the Unreached in 2014 and is currently Vice-Chair of its Board of Directors. Jon has a history in print media, as well, including publishing the Christian Times newspaper for 10 years and authoring 10 Christian books. Jon's passion is to help people know the Christ of the cross, echoing the Apostle Paul, “What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord” (Philippians 3:8). He and his wife, Noonie, have three children and nine grandchildren and reside in North Carolina.
Chris Fabry is the host of Chris Fabry Live on Moody Radio and is the author of more than 80 books. He is a member of the Christy Award Hall of Fame for Christian Fiction. His latest release is Saving Grayson from Focus on the Family. He and his wife live near Tucson, AZ.
