We are visual people, and every day we are overwhelmed with images on TV, phones and in all kinds of stores. This month, we will examine images of God in the Old Testament."With whom, then, will you compare God? To what image will you liken him?" Isaiah 40:18. On Friday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, MTS professor and devotional author, Ryan J. Cook joins us to consider how God is compared to a rock, fortress, shield, light, warrior, and physician (to name a few). This will help us be inspired to communicate the truth about who God is!

Hour 2: Easing New School Year Anxieties - with Danny Huerta
Back-to-school shopping can be a fun way to get kids excited about the new academic year. But, new backpacks and sharpened pencils are no match for the underlying anxieties taunting many kids returning to the classroom. On Friday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Dr. Danny Huerta, VP of Parenting and Youth with Focus on the Family tells parents to go a little deeper with your children, to explore what may be going on behind behaviors they notice. Danny shares helpful ways parents can spot anxiety in their kids, as well as how to address it productively.

Ryan J. Cook
Dr. Ryan Cook has taught at Moody Bible Institute since 2012. He earned his bachelor of arts in Bible and Theology from Moody and his master of arts in Old Testament from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. He has worked in Christian education and served as a pastor in Michigan for seven years. During his time as a professor at Moody, he earned his doctorate from Asbury Theological Seminary. He now lives with his wife, Ashley, and their three children in the Chicagoland area.
Danny Huerta
Daniel Huerta is the vice president of the Parenting and Youth department at Focus on the Family. In this role, he oversees Focus’ initiatives that equip parents to disciple and mentor the next generation, so that they can thrive in Christ.
